Mobile Phone Abroad Roaming Costs Abolished in Europe

Nowadays, it is already a lot less common to come home to an (unintentionally) high telephone bill of a few hundred euros after that annual, well deserved trip within Europe. The costs of using a mobile phone abroad have decreased by more than 90% compared to the past 5 to 10 years. As a result of the efforts of the European Commission, the roaming costs (in short: costs made in order to enable the provider to use the network of a foreign provider) will even be abolished completely per June 15, 2017. From that date, the costs for foreign phone usage  within Europe will be deducted from your bundle as usual costs, against a normal tariff.
