European Commission Innovation Leader Report Netherlands Ranks Top
According to the European Innovation Scoreboard of the European Commission, the Netherlands receives 27 indicators for innovation potential. The Netherlands is now in 4th place (2016 – 5th place), and is named as Innovation Leader in 2017, together with Denmark, Finland and the United Kingdom.
According to the Dutch Minister of Economic Affairs, we came to this result because states, universities and companies work closely together. One of the criteria of the European Innovation Scoreboard for State Assessment was ‘public-private cooperation’. It is also worth mentioning that investment for innovations in the Netherlands are the highest in Europe.
