Immigration Lawyer in Amsterdam

Oak desk with an open empty ring binder, reading glasses and a glass of water, daylight from the side

Law & More receives clients in Amsterdam by appointment, at Pietersbergweg 291. That is a visiting location rather than a second office: our office is in Eindhoven and we act throughout the Netherlands. For immigration matters this makes little practical difference, because IND procedures run in writing and online.

What we do

We handle regular residence: applying for, renewing and changing a residence permit, family reunification, the highly skilled migrant scheme and the EU Blue Card, recognised sponsorship for employers, and naturalisation and the option procedure. Where the IND refuses, we conduct the objection and appeal. The full picture is on our immigration lawyer page.

Internationals in Amsterdam

Amsterdam draws people from outside the EU into international head offices, research institutions, start-ups and self-employment. The questions are practical. What happens to the permit when you move to another employer. Can a partner come along and work here. Which residence purpose fits once a study ends. When is the step to a permit for an indefinite period, or to Dutch nationality, within reach. We assess that against your residence history and prepare the application accordingly.

A recurring point is the gap: a permit that lapses before the next application is filed interrupts the count of lawful residence and shows up years later, when the five-year threshold for permanent residence or naturalisation is tested. It is worth planning the sequence early.

What it costs

We work on an hourly basis: 250-350 euro for a lawyer and 300-400 euro for a partner, excluding VAT. The first introductory meeting is free of charge. IND fees are charged separately and are published on ind.nl. Law & More does not work on legal aid (toevoeging).
